Hello Great People of Rhino Safari Excursions, Overall it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend for you to experience this trip if you get the chance. There were at least half of the customers that needed help getting back on the rhino, the employees did help with this and were not irritated. Getting back on the rhino after snorkeling is a VeRY difficult task. The employees do come across as rude if you do not hear them the first time. Also, it is hard to hear the directions they give you, because of all the noise the waves make. The employee then shrugged his shoulders and said well that’s it there’s no more. My self and my mother in law caught ours the first time, but the male customer missed his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bottle they threw him. There was a male customer on the trip with me and after the snorkeling the employees throw you water bottles from their rhinos to your rhinos. However, there are also negative reviews for the employees being rude. I did not buy these and so I can not say if this is true or not. There’s a lot of negative reviews that regard the quality of sunglasses, etc, and photos. This trip is a great value, because you’re in the water for a long time. If these were easy to flip, I would have flipped many times. They give you rhinos and not jet skis, because these are extremely hard to flip. You do ride at a high speed, but this is what made it so much fun. The snorkeling was a lot of fun and I saw a lot of the “dory” fish, I don’t know the technical term for these fish. We rode the rhinos a long distance to the snorkeling spot and on the way there are breath taking views. It was the most fun we had on the island. My mother-in-law and I went in August 2019. So even if you’re not a strong swimmer or you have never captained your own boat, you can rest assure that you’re in good hands and the experience will make your soul sing! With a little more encouragement, he was able to snorkel and view with his own eyes the stunning fish and underwater gems he would have missed had it not been for our guide. Too my amazement he got out of the dingy and slowly made his way over to me. Sadly, I can’t remember our tour guides name but he was so reassuring and patient with my husband as he gave him a quick snorkeling lesson and encourage him to get out of the dingy wearing his life jacket. My husband is not a strong swimmer by any means (doggie paddle is his style) but loves being in water, go figure, and he thought the water would be on the shallow side (he’s 6’ 5” and shallow to him is 4-5’, it’s roughly 8’ deep, but so clear it looks shallow) so he nor I thought about the water being above his head and I knew he had the life jacket on so I didn’t think he would be apprehensive about getting in, but he was sure he was going to sink. The Rhino Safari snorkeling tour is a MUST DO (I can’t stress that enough) for anyone visiting St Maarten! You can ride together or captain your own dingy (recommend your own dingy) as you ride past gorgeous views on your way to Creole Rock. I had them emailed to me and they were in my inbox with in 24 hours. When we got back we were able to view our pictures and pay $20 for all of them. They made sure we were all together and making it back safely. It was Hurricane season and you get what you get. On the way back we encountered a storm and rough water, which was no fault of theirs. If you have trouble like I did, they help you on with no problems. Don't worry about getting back on the Rhino Riders from the water. We saw some gorgeous scenery on the way to Creole Rock to snorkel. A boat in our group had trouble and both guides were immediately on top of it to make sure they were up and running and not left. After getting a feel for it we were off with a guide, around 8-10 other boats and another employee taking pictures and bringing up the rear. The check in was smooth and friendly and we were given a safety speech and then put on our boat. I can not say enough about this excursion.
